Happy New Year!

It’s a new year!

Which of course means it’s the perfect time for setting goals and embarking on new ventures.

Here at KSOL, we’re setting some goals of our own! Our aim is to bring out regular blog posts answering all questions 11 plus! So, if you have any questions about Grammar Schools, 11 plus tuition, subjects, techniques etc, please comment below or email us at enquires@ksol.co.uk

In the mean time, we have some suggestions about goals you may like to use to encourage your child over the next few months:

  1. Little and often! We don’t believe in long periods of study as children retain information better when it’s given in short bursts. If your child is on one of our online courses, they should aim to complete one test on each of the days that they are set. This will enable them to develop a good study habit.
  2. Read, read, read! Read as much as possible! Take a trip to your local library or a book shop and get your child to pick any and all books that interest them! Whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, biography, comic book etc. Reading a variety of different genres will expose them to all sorts of vocabulary!
  3. Finally, focus on what matters to you. Have an end goal in sight and work towards it. It’s so easy to get distracted by the day to day things that we often lose focus of what’s important. Never lose sight of your end goal.
