1 entrance exam, 1 joint consortium. Children applying to Grammar Schools in Birmingham and Warwickshire to sit one exam?
King Edward VI School, Stratford has released a revised admissions policy. One important change is the proposal for a joint consortium of Grammar Schools between Birmingham and Warwickshire. If this proposal is accepted then children applying to Grammar Schools in both constituencies will sit just one exam, on one day. So parents who register for their child to sit the entrance exam in Birmingham, will have the option to share their raw scores with Grammar Schools in Warwickshire and visa versa. We believe that this proposal will be put into place as it will make the application process much simpler and also help to eradicate ‘11 plus tourism’. More importantly, as children are our central concern at KSOL, we believe this will be highly beneficial for them. They will no longer have to go through the stresses of performing well in two exams, making the whole experience and lead up to the event less onerous.
