Easter Activities

As the cold, dark evenings draw to a close, spring celebrates renewal, re-birth & re-growth. With longer days and eggs-tra time on your hands, why not try some innovative spring related activities which celebrate the great outdoors and maintain a healthy mind this holiday?

  • Try a new outdoor activity- Outdoor activities provide massive health benefits to your child, all of which will help release endorphins and promote a positive state of mind. Even in spring, your child will naturally absorb essential vitamin D which supports bone growth and maintains a strong immune system. Outdoor activities such as: bike rides; long walks; horse-riding; football or netball are all fantastic ways for your child to wind-down when they aren’t busy revising!

  • Papier mâché Easter Egg Making – In celebration of Spring, Papier mâché Easter eggs are an enjoyable, creative activity that will keep children engaged for hours! Decorate with sequins and fibre-tipped pens or fill with post-revision treats!

  • Word Games–  If you’re off on holiday or heading out on the road, why not keep word searches, Sudoku puzzle books or a deck of cards in the car? Aside from hours of entertainment, word games expose your child to regular word pattern recognition, vocabulary and spelling.

  • Plant something – Gardening is a great activity for children, not only teaching responsibility but also the origin of nourishing environments for the promotion of healthy fresh-picked foods. Whether you’re growing vegetables or flowers, engage all their senses with this sun-chasing activity in your own back-garden!

Hoppy Easter from everyone at KSOL!
