To work out how far Ali has walked, we need to work out the circumference of the lake. The formula for working out the circumference is π x diameter.
As we have been told to use Pi to 3.14 and we know that the diameter of the lake is 120 meters, we need to do the following calculation:
3.14 x 120 = 376.8
Round this up to the nearest meter and we are left with an answer of:
377 meters.
